Residents Speak Out Against New Waste Collection Scheme

Residents have bombarded the local press with complaints about the new waste collection scheme.

Headlines in the Kent and Sussex Courier have included:

· "The scheme was introduced in an amateur way" (May 2002)

· "A dictatorial approach" (May 2002)

· "It is true there was no consultation with Pembury Parish Council." (June 2002)

· "Village unites in 'Waste war' " (September 2002)

· "Waste of money collecting 'brown bins' " (December 2002).

Liberal Democrats have consistently supported schemes for re-cycling, AND they listen to the views of residents at all times.
