Southborough By-Election - Residents' Priority Parking

8.59.09pm GMT Sat 6th Mar 2004

Once the Town Centre Development is built there should be parking facilities for theatre-goers near the Royal Victoria Hall Theatre. Liberal Democrats will then consider implementing a residents' priority parking scheme between the hours of 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. in parts of West Ward.

This would, at the very least, mean that people returning from work should be able to park outside their own home. We also believe that consideration should be given to implementing a one-way system for some roads.

Both of these ideas would only become definite plans if public consultation shows that these schemes are what residents want.
