Tunbridge Wells Liberal Democrats

The Real Alternative

Opinion Polls - Liberal Democrats Progress while Conservatives Fail to Impress

9.55.55am BST (GMT +0100) Sat 1st May 2004

The latest opinion poll from ICM for the Guardian shows the Liberal Democrats up 3 points from June 2001 - the date of the last General Election.

The Conservatives on the other hand are up only 1 point and this is after two changes of party leader!

Tunbridge Wells Borough Group Leader Councillor David Mills says "The Labour Party are looking tired. The Tories are bankrupt of good ideas and remain remote. The British public are increasingly seeing the Liberal Democrats as the only viable alternative to Labour."
