Ideas put forward by Liberal Democrat Members of the European Parliament will help to prevent dolphins and porpoises being caught in fishing nets.

In the past many dolphins have been washed up dead on British beaches after getting entangled in nets.

Local Councillor Bob Wratten said "This action by Liberal Democrats MEPs will help to protect dolphins and porpoises as they travel through European waters."
