Tunbridge Wells Liberal Democrats

The Real Alternative

Cast your vote on Thursday for the Lib Dems in Local and European elections

5.50.42pm UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 9th Jun 2004

On Thursday June 10 in Tunbridge Wells you have the opportunity to vote for the Liberal Democrats in all 16 seats up for re-election. This is your chance to give your verdict on the local Tory council's failed policies of raising Council Tax while delivering ever-poorer services. Don't forget, the local Lib Dem councillors and candidates work hard for you ALL year round.

In the Euro elections on the same day, you will also have the opportunity to return more Liberal Democrat MEPs for the South-East. Our sitting members, Chris Huhne and Emma Nicholson, both have excellent records of activity of environmental issues, animal welfare and combating waste in the European Union. Remember, the Lib Dems is the only major party, which has consistently opposed Tony Blair's policies over the Iraq War.

Please deliver your verdict on the Conservative-run council and Labour government by voting in BOTH elections for your Liberal Democrat candidates.

Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm. You do not need a polling card to vote in the elections - just visit your local polling station and they will be able to help you.

Your Liberal Democrat Borough candidates are: -

BENENDEN and CRANBROOK Ward - Hazel Honeywill

BRENCHLEY and HORSMONDEN Ward - Dr Clive Charlesworth

BROADWATER Ward - Jamie Johnson

CAPEL Ward - Hugh Patterson

CULVERDEN Ward - Andy Ollive
