Specialist maternity and child care sevices will be included at the new Pembury Hospital

Lib Dem Parliamentary Spokesperson Laura Murphy supported health provision in Tunbridge Wells by saying,

"It is pleasing to hear that Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust has repeated their commitment to include specialist maternity and child care services at the new Pembury Hospital. What is worrying however, is the fact that doctors and nurses have been overstretched for too long with closures of units and cancellation of operations.

Why has it got to this state of affairs? Despite the Government trumpeting the allocation of millions of pounds to the Health Service since they came into power, Tunbridge Wells has had to wait too long to get it's fair share. The residents and hard working Health staff deserve better."
