Tom talks to Charles Kennedy about local residents' issues

Lib Dem leader Charles Kennedy has put his backing behind Tom Symondson's campaign to become a Councillor for Pembury. Tom recently visited the Houses of Parliament and met with the party leader.

"We need more young people to get involved in politics at all levels" said Charles. "Tom is showing that age is not a barrier to getting stuck in."

"The Liberal Democrats have a record of engaging with young people" says Tom. "We have the youngest MP in the House, and our policies for young people are the best of the three main parties. I strongly believe that I will be a robust voice for local residents young and old, and I will push the weak Tory council to become more inclusive and representative".
