Tom gets stuck in on TV

Tom Symondson, the youngest councillor in the south, and the newest addition to Tunbridge Wells Liberal Democrat council group, appeared on TV for the first time on Sunday 20th November. The appearance was on BBC South East's Politics Show. He was the main guest on the show and was asked about issues as varied as consultation with young people, the probation service and extended licensing hours.

"I really enjoyed my live TV debut" said Tom. "I got more opportunity to talk than the other guests, which made me a bit nervous, but I certainly made the most of it! I was able to put across my views, and those of the party, without becoming too dogmatic, something I hate in politicians. I even managed to have a bit of a laugh with the presenter. After the show he said they would probably ask me on again in the future, which I will look forward to."
